From the Front Desk with Heidi Chesko

I have been with Lowcountry Male and AquaVitae for nearly five years, serving as a front desk coordinator and occasionally stepping into the role of patient advocate. Over this time, I have had the privilege of building meaningful relationships with our patients. Many come to us feeling hesitant or embarrassed, whether due to challenges with weight management or concerns about sexual performance. It’s incredibly rewarding to help them feel at ease, providing a safe space where they can openly discuss their issues, progress, and ongoing needs.

What I love most about my role is fostering this comfort and trust. Seeing patients transform from reserved and unsure to confident and empowered is truly inspiring. Lowcountry Male and AquaVitae are places where individuals can discuss health-related concerns without fear of judgment. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and positive atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors. Along with my role in providing support, I also take pride in educating patients about our diverse programs, products, and treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is witnessing the life-changing results of our treatments. For example, our weight loss programs have helped many patients shed significant amounts of weight. The change in their confidence and energy is palpable when they walk through the door—it’s as if they’ve discovered a new version of themselves. Similarly, our ED treatments have a profound impact, with patients often sharing how their relationships and overall happiness have improved thanks to the care they’ve received here. Being a part of that journey is incredibly gratifying.

Many of our patients come to us feeling hopeless, doubting whether they will ever achieve their desired weight, confidence, or quality of life. It’s a privilege to help them see that change is possible and to play a role in that transformation. Knowing I contribute to their success, even in small ways, is what motivates me every day.

I’m also excited to see the growing interest in aesthetics among our patients. It’s no longer just women seeking Botox, fillers, or facials—more men are recognizing the benefits of these treatments as well. Everyone deserves to feel good about how they look, and it’s amazing to see how these services can boost confidence and self-esteem.

Being part of the team at Lowcountry Male and AquaVitae is incredibly rewarding. I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in our patients’ lives, helping them feel healthier, happier, and more confident in themselves.
